Immediate Need for Consultant Employee Sample Clauses

Immediate Need for Consultant Employee. Where an immediate need arises the procedures within the Division of Project Support memo, dated 7/18/17 (EC-002, Attached) will be of guidance. Those procedures require the Consultant to first obtain authorization from the CDOT project manager, via email, to add an employee to their project. That email will state the immediate need. The employee may then immediately begin work on CDOT projects. The Consultant will then follow the below procedures in addition to submitting a copy of the CDOT project managers’ email approval. This procedure is ONLY to be used for immediate or emergency situations, as determined by the CDOT PM, NOT for normal additions. If your request contains a date of approval other than the submission date, please explain the immediate need circumstances within your request letter along with the CDOT PM’s email. Please note that the rate submitted may not be the rate approved. This will not be known until the review is completed. NOTE: Process 1 is the desired process to be followed for most, if not all, situations. No email from CDOT PM is required. Process 2 is only provided as an exception and is to be used at the discretion of the CDOT Project Manager (PM). The PM cannot approve additions to the MPA only to the project for which they have responsibility once they are on the consultants MPA.
