IMPORT EARH FILL. (BACKFILL) A. Earth Fill shall be a xxxxx to loamy material well graded from fine to coarse with a maximum gravel size of 2 in. obtained from approved natural deposits and unprocessed except for the removal of unacceptable materials and stones larger than the maximum size permitted. It shall not contain vegetation, masses of roots, or individual roots more than 18 in. long or more than ½ in. in diameter. It shall be substantially free from peat, organic matter and debris, and shall not contain any stones or clay lumps in excess of 2 inches in their greatest dimension. It shall also be free from any harmful or hazardous substances. Earth fill material shall generally comply with the following gradation requirements: 2” 100 ¾" 90-100 Xx. 0 00-00 Xx. 00 0-00 Xx. 000 0-00 The portion of the earth fill material passing the No. 40 sieve shall have a liquid limit less than 40 and a plasticity index less than 6. Earth fill material shall be classified per the unified soil classification system as low plasticity or not-plastic soils. The Contractor shall submit a sample of the material he proposes to use as import earth fill, together with results from an approved laboratory, showing grain size analysis and xxxxxxx density relationships for these soils. Any materials of whatever description, which are too uniformly graded or saturated to be readily compactable, shall not be utilized for earth fill. B. Earth fill material shall be placed in lifts not exceeding 8 inches thick, and each lift shall be thoroughly compacted to a minimum 90% of standard density (Type ‘A’ Compaction) or as directed and approved by the Engineer. All compaction including equipment, methods, and means shall be in strict accordance with New Jersey Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest revised amendments.

  • Television Equipment Recycling Program If this Contract is for the purchase or lease of covered television equipment, then Contractor certifies that it is compliance with Subchapter Z, Chapter 361 of the Texas Health and Safety Code related to the Television Equipment Recycling Program.

  • Dark Fiber Transport Dark Fiber Transport is defined as Dedicated Transport that consists of unactivated optical interoffice transmission facilities without attached signal regeneration, multiplexing, aggregation or other electronics. Except as set forth in Section 6.9.1 below, BellSouth shall not be required to provide access to Dark Fiber Transport Entrance Facilities pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Import/Export a) Purchase orders issued pursuant to this contract shall specify the applicable International Commercial Terms of Sale (Incoterms) and the United States importer of record for all items procured under this contract. b) In performing the obligations of this contract, both Parties will comply with all applicable export, import and sanctions laws, regulations, orders, and authorizations, as they may be amended from time to time, applicable to the export (including re-export) or import of goods, software, technology, or technical data (Items) or services, including without limitation the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and regulations and orders administered by the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (collectively, Export/Import Laws). c) The Party conducting the export or import shall obtain all export or import authorizations which are required under the Export/Import Laws for said Party to execute its obligations under this contract. Reasonable cooperation shall include providing reasonably necessary documentation, including import, end-user and retransfer certificates. d) The Party providing Items or services under this contract shall, upon request, notify the other Party of the Items or services’ export classification (e.g., the Export Control Classification Numbers or United States Munitions List [USML] category and subcategory) as well as the export classification of any components or parts thereof if they are different from the export classification of the Item at issue. The Parties acknowledge that this representation means that an official capable of binding the Party providing such Items or services knows or has otherwise determined the proper export classification. Each Party agrees to reasonably cooperate with the other in providing, upon request of the other Party, documentation or other information that supports or confirms this representation
