Unacceptable Materials definition

Unacceptable Materials means any materials included under the heading of Unacceptable Materials in the Program List.
Unacceptable Materials means materials not accepted for disposal at the Cumberland Central Landfill, including but is not limited to biomedical waste and household hazardous waste;
Unacceptable Materials means any solid waste, hazardous waste, contaminants or discards not included as Acceptable Materials.

  • In the event that a Customer places Excluded Materials or Unacceptable Materials in a Container, and the Contractor collects those materials inadvertently and incurs extraordinary expenses dealing with those materials, the Contractor may charge the Customer the actual costs of managing those materials, as approved by the City.

  • Unacceptable Materials: If it is ascertained by testing or inspection that the material or equipment does not comply with the Contract, do not deliver said material or equipment, or if delivered remove it promptly from the site or from the Work and replace it with acceptable material without additional cost to the CITY.


More Definitions of Unacceptable Materials

Unacceptable Materials means any materials which do not constitute Acceptable Materials, and includes, but is not limited to, those materials listed as such in Appendix E.
Unacceptable Materials means all materials that are not Acceptable Materials, and includes, but is not necessarily limited to, plastic bags, plastic wrap, paper soiled with grease, paint, etc., wax-coated paper or cardboard, paper cups or plates, tissues, napkins, paper towels, hard covered books, hangers, styrofoam, electronics or batteries, sharps or medical waste, plastic utensils or plates, appliances, pots, pans, bowls, ceramic plates or mugs, toys or clothing. Also, with respect to either Commingled Paper or Commingled Containers, any contamination of such material that renders such material unsuitable for processing and marketing shall be deemed Unacceptable Materials.
Unacceptable Materials means any material that is not Acceptable Wood Waste.
Unacceptable Materials means all materials that may impair the processing or marketability of the Product other than Acceptable Materials. Unacceptable Materials includes but is not limited to RCP, brick, rocks and soil.
Unacceptable Materials means (i) Hazardous Waste, (ii) medical wastes including sharps and other biohazards, (iii) conditionally-exempt small quantity generator (CESQG) wastes, and (iv) any materials not deemed Recyclables. “Uncontrollable Circumstance” means an event or condition listed in this definition, whether affecting the Project, the City, or WYCO Recycling, that has, or will have, a direct material adverse effect on the Agreement or the Project, ownership or possession of the Project, or delivery of Recyclables to the Project, if such event or condition is beyond the reasonable control, not the result of the action or a lack of due diligence, of the non-performing Party relying thereon as justification, and could not have been foreseen and avoided, prevented, or significantly ameliorated by WYCO Recycling by exercising reasonable prudence or diligence. The following events or conditions, and no others, shall constitute Uncontrollable Circumstances if they meet the requirements of the preceding sentence:
Unacceptable Materials means all materials and wastes that are radioactive, flammable, highly volatile, explosive, toxic, or liquid materials; all wastes and substances defined as hazardous under Title 42 of the United States Code, Section 6903(5), Sections 25117 or 25316 of the California Health and Safety Code, or the regulations promulgated under such statutes, as amended from time to time; all materials defined as medical waste in California Health and Safety Code Section 117690, or the regulations promulgated thereunder, as amended from time to time; industrial wastes; special wastes including but not limited to, cannery sludges, ash, and contaminated soil any other materials and wastes that the Compost Facility is not authorized to accept for processing under its land use entitlements, approvals and permits (as they now exist or may hereafter be amended).
Unacceptable Materials means the materials listed in Phase 1, Section D below. All recyclable materials collected for delivery and sale by the Contractor shall be hauled to a processing facility selected by the Contractor for processing.
