Incentive for Not Using paid Sick Leave. A. An employee who is not absent from work on paid medical leave for any reason, including personal illness, family illness, an injury suffered in the workplace or elsewhere, whether covered by workers’ compensation or not, or any other reason, on any day during the period from July 1 through October 31 of a contract year shall receive during the month of November additional compensation equal to one (1) day’s pay. An employee who is not absent from work on paid medical leave for any reason, including those set forth in the first sentence of this subsection, during the period from November 1 through the last day of February of a contract year shall receive during the month of March additional compensation equal to one (1) day’s pay. An employee who is not absent from work on paid medical leave for any reason, including those set forth in the first sentence of this subsection, during the period from March 1 through June 30 of a contract year shall receive during the month of July additional compensation equal to one (1) day’s pay.
