Common use of Increase of Existing Position Hours Clause in Contracts

Increase of Existing Position Hours. Unless the Hospital elects 22 to use sections 12.5 or 12.7 of this Article, no vacancy will be deemed to have 23 occurred if the Hospital, in its discretion and with the consent of the nurse, 24 desires to increase the scheduled hours per week of a nurse by no more than 25 one shift. Such hours will be posted in the unit involved for seven (7) calendar 26 days. The qualified senior nurse applicant then employed in the unit and on the 27 shift where such hours will be scheduled will be given the first opportunity for 28 such hours.
