Common use of Individual Layoff Notice Clause in Contracts

Individual Layoff Notice. An employee occupying a position identified in accordance 19 with Subsection A above shall have the right to either accept layoff from state 20 employment or, as permitted by his/her seniority, to bump to another position for 21 which he/she is qualified in accordance with this Section. An employee occupying a 22 position designated for layoff, and an employee who may or will be bumped from 23 his/her position as a result of such layoff, shall be entitled to receive fifteen (l5) 24 calendar days forenotice by first class mail from the Employer of such fact.
