Common use of Individual Layoff Notice Clause in Contracts

Individual Layoff Notice. An employee occupying a position identified in accordance with Subsection A above shall have the right to either accept layoff from state employment or, as permitted by his/her seniority, to bump to another position for which he/she is qualified in accordance with this Section. An employee occupying a position designated for layoff, and an employee who may or will be bumped from his/her position as a result of such layoff, shall be entitled to receive fifteen (l5) calendar days forenotice by first class mail from the Employer of such fact.
