Informational Interview - Is an informal conversation with someone working in a career/job of interest, who provides information and advice. It is an effective research tool in addition to reading books, exploring the Internet, and examining job descriptions. It is not a job interview, and the objective is not to find job openings. In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) - Helps pay for services so that individuals can remain safely in their own home. To be eligible, an individual must be over 65 years of age, or blind, or have a disability. Children with disabilities are also potentially eligible for IHSS. IHSS is considered an alternative to out-of-home care, such as nursing homes or board and care facilities.
