Individual Supported Employment. (Individual SEP) - Individual support and advocacy services provided to individuals are related to employment. It is an effective research tool in addition to reading books, exploring the Internet, and examining job descriptions. It is not a job interview, and the objective is not to find job openings. In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) - Helps pay for services so that individuals can remain safely in their own home. To be eligible, an individual must be over 65 years of age, or blind, or have a disability. Children with disabilities are also potentially eligible for IHSS. IHSS is considered an alternative to out-of-home care, such as nursing homes or board and care facilities.
