Informal Resolution within the Workplace. In order to promote the speedy, effective and informal resolution of workplace disputes, the dispute will first be discussed by the employee and the employee’s immediate supervisor and every effort will be made to resolve it at this early stage. The supervisor will respond to the dispute raised by the employee as soon as possible, within their supervisory capacity. The parties recognise that not all disputes will be resolved in this way. Where they cannot be resolved informally, disputes will be resolved in accordance with the procedure set out in clause 3.1.5 below.
