INITIATING JOB POSTINGS. The Employer shall initiate procedures to fill vacant positions three (3) weeks prior to the effective date of termination, or such shorter period as permitted by notice. Alternatively, the reasons for not filling a position will be given to the Union in writing within five (5) working days of the termination date.
