Common use of Insurance and Tuition Benefits Clause in Contracts

Insurance and Tuition Benefits. With the consent of the carrier, and after the expiration of any insurance benefits for an unpaid leave afforded under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, a teacher on an unpaid leave of absence may maintain insurance benefits by making timely payments of all premiums which may be due to the Business Office or elsewhere pursuant to its direction. Except for an approved education leave, a teacher on an unpaid leave of absence shall not be eligible for tuition reimbursement.
