INTEGRITY OF BARGAINING UNIT. Unless there is an extreme emergency, as defined by the Illinois Compiled Statutes, the City will not assign firefighting, fire prevention or EMS work normally performed by employees in the bargaining unit to any other employees. This provision shall not apply where there are not sufficient bargaining unit employees willing or available to perform the work in question.
