Common use of Internal Substitution Clause in Contracts

Internal Substitution. The administration will make every reasonable effort to secure a substitute teacher when a teacher is absent. If a substitute teacher is not available, either in the middle school or elementary buildings, any teacher who accepts a class which requires the forfeiture of his/her preparation period will be compensated at the proportionate share of thirty five dollars ($35.00) per clock hour. If no teacher agrees to accept the assignment voluntarily, then the administration may assign a teacher(s) to do so on a rotating basis. Every attempt will be made to give teachers as much notice as possible when they are to be assigned to internal substitution.
