Involuntary Transfer - Transfer Not Accepted. a) If a Permanent employee is being involuntarily transferred and he does not accept the transfer, a leave of absence without pay may be granted for a period of up to one (1) year. b) During the period of leave, the employee shall only have rights to apply for positions. If the employee has not been successful in obtaining alternate employment in the public service by the end of the leave, he will be deemed to have resigned. If the leave is granted, the Employer may permanently staff the position.
