More critically this will also impact positively on the child’s journey, shortening the time spent in temporary placements. Potential adopters will also experience a more robust and timely process that will keep them engaged and committed to the Western Bay Adoption Service, therefore reducing the possibility of losing them to a competing agency. Consideration will need to be given to the needs of the service user as to which services should be delivered on a regional and local basis. This specification is, therefore founded on the premise that current performance cannot afford to slip and must improve where possible.
