Job Connected Injury. Teachers absent due to a job connected injury shall be entitled to full salary for each week of absence up to one (1) calendar year without such absence being charged against his/her accumulated sick leave. Such salary shall be paid for absence during the waiting period and during the period the teacher received or was eligible to receive temporary disability benefits under Chapter 15 of Title 34 of the Revised Statutes. Any amount of salary paid or payable to the teacher pursuant to this section shall be reduced by the amount of any workers compensation award made for temporary disability.
