Common use of Job Rotation/Developmental Opportunities Clause in Contracts

Job Rotation/Developmental Opportunities. An Employee may request and LCOG may provide rotation/developmental opportunities by written agreement with employees who have the approval of their manager based on the operational needs of the agency or their work unit. The written agreement will include the duties, hours of work, and length of the assignment. There will be an internal process for these positions, consistent with Article 22 (filling of positions), before any external recruitment takes place. Employees selected for these positions will maintain all the rights and privileges they had in their regular status position. A job rotation or developmental opportunity shall not exceed two (2) years in length. Any person who accepts a job rotation or developmental opportunity has return rights to their previous position at the end of the assignment. No change in the performance appraisal date or merit increase date changes as a result of accepting a job rotation or developmental opportunity.
