Common use of Job Security Provisions Clause in Contracts

Job Security Provisions. (a) The Employer specifically agrees not to enter into any agreement, written or otherwise, with respect to the merger or any other disposal of its operations, in whole or in part, in any manner referred to in this Article unless that agreement, and any applicable collective agreement, contain express provisions which guarantee all Full Time Regular Employees, as indefeasible rights, full recognition of all seniority and service accrued under this Agreement and prohibitions against any reduction in wages or benefits and against any displacement or layoff for a period of one (1) year from the date that the merger or other disposition comes into force and effect.
