JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE AGREEMENT. II.6.1 Recognizing the mutual benefits to be derived from joint consultation, the parties agree, within thirty (30) days of the signing of this Agreement, to establish a Joint Committee on the Administration of the Agreement, comprised of three (3) representatives of the Association and three (3) representatives of the Board. II.6.2 The Joint Committee shall deal with problems arising from the administration of this Agreement, as far as possible, and perform the various functions assigned to it in the articles of this Agreement. The parties may agree to establish sub-committees of the Joint Committee to perform particular functions assigned by particular articles of the Agreement if they are of the opinion that this will better expedite the administration of the Agreement. Such sub-committees shall be composed of an equal number of representatives of the Association and of the Board, and shall forward all recommendations to the Association and the Board through Joint Committee. II.6.2.1 In addition to performing the various functions assigned in this Collective Agreement to the Joint Committee, the Joint Committee shall administer this Agreement in the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect and shall seek the timely correction of conditions which may give rise to misunderstandings. To that end the Joint Committee shall act in an advisory capacity to the University and the Association concerning the need to amend or modify the Agreement. The Joint Committee shall not have the authority to amend or modify this Agreement. Any amendments or modifications to the Agreement shall not take effect until approved by the University and the Association. The timing and purpose of these special meetings shall be as follows: (a) Quarterly, to discuss application and enrolment data, the draft budget assumptions and related projections prior to its presentation to the Finance and Property Committee, and the implications that these matters may have for staffing, the in-year budget, the bargaining agent, or bargaining unit members; (b) In the event that the University receives information outside of the regular budget cycle that results in decisions being made or contemplated with implications for staffing, the bargaining agent or its members for the in-year or future budgets; (c) At any other times jointly agreed by the parties. II.6.4.1 Prior to special meetings of Joint Committee described in II.6.4, the University shall provide the Association with relevant information necessary to facilitate informed discussion.

The Joint Committee shall, further, direct itself to the fulfilment of any tasks explicitly assigned by this Agreement to the Joint Committee, or to joint Employer-Association committees, required to bring into effect until approved by and implement the University and the Associationprovisions of this Agreement. II.6.3 7.03 The Joint Committee shall determine its own procedures, subject to the following provisions: (a) The Joint Committee shall be co-chaired jointly by one (1) a representative of the Association and one (1) a representative of the Board;Employer, who shall together be responsible for preparing and distributing agenda for meetings, and shall alternate in presiding over meetings. (b) The Joint Committee shall meet at least once every two (2) months, but may meet more often, either by mutual agreement of the chairpersons, or, on five (5) days’ notice, at the call of either of the chairpersons. (c) A quorum for the Joint Committee shall be four six (46) of its members. (d) The parties may, with a minimum by mutual consent, expand the Joint Committee, or create subcommittees of the Joint Committee. The membership and procedures of subcommittees shall be determined by the Joint Committee, subject to the condition that at least two (2) members representing of each subcommittee shall be members of the Board Committee, and that the Association;chairperson of a subcommittee must be chosen from among the members of the Committee serving on the subcommittee. (c) 7.04 The Joint Committee shall establish a Financial Information Subcommittee to serve as the channel for the passing of data and analyses of the financial operations of the University between the parties. The Subcommittee shall meet at least twice once every six weeks during each academic yearthe autumn/winter session and shall submit a summary report of its activities to the JCOAA once annually, but may meet more often by mutual agreement; (d) Either party may request a meeting to be held at a mutually convenient time within ten (10) working days of the request; (e) The co-Chairs may meet to settle agenda for meetings; failing that, they shall exchange written agenda at least three (3) working days in advance of each meeting. II.6.4 Special meetings of Joint Committee to discuss the financial situation of the University shall be held at least quarterlybetween 1 February and 31 March. The parties recognize particular value in having the Vice President, Academic Association shall receive all financial information given to Senate APPC and Vice President, Administration, in attendance and agree that each party may bring up to four additional members to these meetings. The parties recognize particular value in having the Xxxxxxx and Vice President, President Academic and Vice President, Finance and Administration, in attendance and agree that each party may bring up to four additional members to these meetings. The timing and purpose of these special meetings shall be as follows: (a) Quarterly, to discuss application and enrolment data, the draft budget assumptions and related projections prior to its presentation to the Finance and Property Committee, and the implications that these matters may have for staffing, the in-year budget, the bargaining agent, or bargaining unit members; (b) In the event that the University receives information outside of the regular budget cycle that results in decisions being made or contemplated with implications for staffing, the bargaining agent or its members for the in-year or future budgets; (c) At any other times jointly agreed by the parties. II.6.4.1 Prior to special meetings of Joint Committee described in II.6.4, the University shall provide the Association with relevant information necessary to facilitate informed discussion.

JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE AGREEMENT. II.6.1 7.01 Recognizing the mutual benefits to be derived from joint consultation, the parties agree, within thirty twenty-one (3021) days of the signing of this Agreement, to establish a Joint Committee on the Administration of the Agreement, comprised of three to comprise four (34) representatives of the Association and three four (34) representatives of the BoardEmployer. II.6.2 The Joint Committee shall deal with problems arising from the administration of this Agreement, as far as possible, and perform the various functions assigned to it in the articles of this Agreement. The parties may agree to establish sub-committees of the Joint Committee to perform particular functions assigned by particular articles of the Agreement if they are of the opinion that this will better expedite the administration of the Agreement. Such sub-committees shall be composed of an equal number of representatives of the Association and of the Board, and shall forward all recommendations to the Association and the Board through Joint Committee. II.6.2.1 In addition to performing the various functions assigned in this Collective Agreement to the Joint Committee, the Joint Committee shall administer this Agreement in the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect and shall seek the timely correction of conditions which may give rise to misunderstandings. To that end the Joint Committee shall act in an advisory capacity to the University and the Association concerning the need to amend or modify the Agreement. 7.02 The Joint Committee shall not have the authority power to amend add to or modify in any way the terms of this Agreement. Any amendments or modifications , but shall function in an advisory capacity to the Association and/or the Employer with the general aim of ensuring that this Agreement shall not take is administered in a spirit of co-operation and mutual respect. The Joint Committee shall, further, direct itself to the fulfilment of any tasks explicitly assigned by this Agreement to the Joint Committee, or to joint Employer- Association committees, required to bring into effect until approved by and implement the University and the Associationprovisions of this Agreement. II.6.3 7.03 The Joint Committee shall determine its own procedures, subject to the following provisions: (a) The Joint Committee shall be co-chaired jointly by one (1) a representative of the Association and one (1) a representative of the Board;Employer, who shall together be responsible for preparing and distributing agenda for meetings, and shall alternate in presiding over meetings. (b) The Joint Committee shall meet at least once every two (2) months, but may meet more often, either by mutual agreement of the chairpersons, or, on five (5) days’ notice, at the call of either of the chairpersons. (c) A quorum for the Joint Committee shall be four six (46) of its members. (d) The parties may, with a minimum by mutual consent, expand the Joint Committee, or create subcommittees of the Joint Committee. The membership and procedures of subcommittees shall be determined by the Joint Committee, subject to the condition that at least two (2) members representing of each subcommittee shall be members of the Board Committee, and that the Association;chairperson of a subcommittee must be chosen from among the members of the Committee serving on the subcommittee. (c) 7.04 The Joint Committee shall establish a Financial Information Subcommittee to serve as the channel for the passing of data and analyses of the financial operations of the University between the parties. The Subcommittee shall meet at least twice once every six weeks during each academic yearthe autumn/winter session and shall submit a summary report of its activities to the JCOAA once annually, but may meet more often by mutual agreement; (d) Either party may request a meeting to be held at a mutually convenient time within ten (10) working days of the request; (e) The co-Chairs may meet to settle agenda for meetings; failing that, they shall exchange written agenda at least three (3) working days in advance of each meeting. II.6.4 Special meetings of Joint Committee to discuss the financial situation of the University shall be held at least quarterlybetween 1 February and 31 March.
