Joint Dispatching. The parties agree that once the joint call taking function is fully operational, the members of the implementation team will focus their efforts on moving towards joint dispatching. The Chiefs are prepared to support this endeavour by providing the resources required to address any concerns. If the implementation team deems it necessary, the Chiefs will pay for a facilitator at their expense, to assist the implementation team to address these concerns, if possible, with the view to assist in the implementation of joint dispatching. We anticipate the JCC will be fully operational, meaning joint call taking and dispatching without regard to current municipal jurisdictional boundaries, by a date recommended by the implementation team. Once the JCC is fully operational and conditional upon the JCC becoming fully operational, the 1st Class Communications Operators rates will be readjusted to 100% of the 1st Class Fire Fighter’s rate. Within 30 days of full implementation, a retroactive payment will be made in the amount equal to the difference between the salary upon commencement of training and the readjusted rate. Supervision within the JCC Supervision within the JCC will remain jurisdictional. Accordingly, Brampton employees will receive their direction through the chain of command within Brampton Fire and Emergency Services. Appendix “A” outlines the functional model.   • Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union recognize the role of the joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee in promoting a safe and healthful workplace. The parties agree that a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee shall be established for each Employer covered by this Collective Agreement. The Committee shall govern itself in accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Health and Safety Regulations made pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act. The Committee shall be as between the Employer and the Union, with equal representation, and with each party appointing its own representatives. Representatives of the Union shall be chosen by the Union membership or appointed by the Union. All minutes of the meetings of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee will be recorded in a mutually agreeable format and will be sent to the Union.   • MEDICAL DISPUTE In the event of a dispute involving an employee's health as it affects the employee's ability to perform his/her job on return to work at the University from a layoff or leave of absence of any kind, and if the employee is not satisfied with the determination of the University's physician, the employee may submit a report from a medical doctor of his/her own choosing at his/her own expense. If the dispute still exists, at the request of the employee, the University's physician and the employee's doctor shall agree upon a third medical doctor to submit a report to the University and the employee, and the decision of such third party regarding the employee's health as it affects the employee's ability to perform his/her job will be binding on both parties. The expense of the examination by the third party shall be shared equally by the University and the employee.

  • Investment disputes 1.
