Common use of Joint Health and Safety Clause in Contracts

Joint Health and Safety. (a) The Region and the Association agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of safety and health at Allendale, Post Inn Village, and Creek Way Village in order to prevent accidents, injury and illness. (b) Recognizing its responsibilities under the applicable legislation, the Region agrees to accept as a member of its Joint Health and Safety Committee, one (1) representative selected or appointed by the Association from amongst bargaining unit Nurses at each location. The Association will endeavour to ensure that representation is provided. (c) The Region shall abide by any time off and wage payment provisions required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
