Common use of Joint Health and Safety Clause in Contracts

Joint Health and Safety. 46.0 (a) The Employer will continue to make provision for the health and safety of its employees in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations. The standards prescribed under legislation and regulations shall constitute minimum acceptable practice to be improved upon by agreement of the Joint Health and Safety Committees or as negotiated with the Union. Joint Health and Safety Committees shall be established and maintained in accordance with the OHSA and its regulations. Both parties will endeavour to appoint committee representatives that are interested in establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
