Jurisdiction of Hearing Authority to Modify Discipline. (a) In addition to the authority provided by section 143.053 Texas Local Government Code, the Parties agree that the Civil Service Commission, or a Hearing Examiner appointed pursuant to section 143.057 Texas Local Government Code and the provisions of this Agreement, shall have the authority to impose a disciplinary suspension of any length of time, including suspensions in excess of fifteen (15) days, and time already served between the imposition of discipline and the appeal decision.
