Common use of Jury Duty 9 Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty 9. 12.1 As provided by the law, a unit member is entitled to jury duty leave of absence without loss of pay for the time they are required to perform jury duty during their regularly assigned working hours. Participation in jury duty will not result in a deduction from sick leave or the attendance incentive. 9.12.2 Unit members called for jury duty must notify the District of service date(s) upon receiving said notice from officers of the court. Jurors’ fees, exclusive of mileage and meal allowances, received by the unit member must be deposited to the credit of the District. 9.12.3 Unit members are required to return to work during any day on which jury duty services are not required. The District will require verification of jury duty.
