Knowledge and Scholarship in Special Field. Each Educational Support Associate demonstrates a depth and breadth of knowledge of theory and content in their special field. He/she demonstrates an understanding of and knowledge about common school education and the education milieu grades K-12 and demonstrates the ability to integrate their area of specialty into the total school milieu. The ESA staff member is able to: 1. Attending necessary meetings; 2. Provide a theoretical rationale for procedures and methods used; 3. Integrate specialized program into the basic education program; 4. Apply principles of learning and human growth and development in the delivery of the specialized program services to students.
