Common use of Labor and Materials Bond Clause in Contracts

Labor and Materials Bond. The Contractor shall furnish a labor and materials bond for the protection of the CGA in accordance with Conn. Gen. Stat. §49-41(a) in an amount equal to the total cost of this Contract ($500,000) within fifteen (15) days of notification of award and prior to the execution of this Contract.  This notice is provided under the authority of Connecticut General Statutes §9-612(g)(2), as amended by P.A. 10-1, and is for the purpose of informing state contractors and prospective state contractors of the following law (italicized words are defined later on in the notice).
