Labor Discrimination. Attention is directed to Section 1735 of the Labor Code, which reads as follows: “No discrimination shall be made in the employment of persons upon public works because of their race, color, national origin or ancestry, physical handicap, mental condition, marital status, or sex of such person, except as provided in Section 12940 of the Government Code, and every General Contractor for public works violating this section is subject to all the penalties imposed for a violation of this chapter.”
