Freedom from Discrimination. The Employer, the Union, and the employees agree that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, or coercion exercised or practiced with respect to any employee by reason of race, colour, ancestry, ethnic origin, citizenship, place of origin, creed, religion, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, pregnancy, lawful source of income, conviction for which a pardon has been granted, union membership or activity, or for exercising their rights under this Agreement.
Freedom from Discrimination. Every faculty member has the right to equal treatment by the College with respect to all aspects of the exercise of its managerial authority. Equal treatment shall be without discrimination, interference, restriction or coercion exercised or practised because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnicity, citizenship, creed, religion, political affiliation or activity, sex, age, marital status, family status, place of residence, disability, medical history, sexual preference, personal lifestyle, or membership or activity in the Association.

The law shall prohibit any discrimination and guarantee to all persons equal and effective protection against discrimination on any ground such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status;
Freedom from Discrimination. The Board, the Association, and their agents and members agree that neither shall unlawfully discriminate against any employee of the District because of race, religion, color, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, height, weight, marital status, disability, or for exercising his/her rights pursuant to of the Michigan Public Employment Relations Act, MCL 423.211 et seq., as amended.

4.02 The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to find alternate employment within its employ for an Employee who becomes unable to carry out his or her normal work functions as a result of a physical or mental disability arising as a result of his or her employment with the Employer.
Freedom from Discrimination. Neither party shall unlawfully discriminate against any employee because of the employee’s race, creed, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, height, weight, disability or membership in the Association.

Any affirmative action policy that may be put in place shall not be considered discriminatory.

The Employer and Union cannot and will not condone discrimination or personal harassment that is based on sex, race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, age, record of offences, marital status, sexual orientation, family status or handicap, or for any other grounds declared unlawful by Ontario Human Rights legislation.

The Employer and the Union agree that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restriction, or coercion exercised or practiced with respect to any employee by reason of age, sex, race, creed, colour, nationality, religion, ancestry, ethnic place of origin, marital status, gender identity, sexual orientation, family status, family affiliation, political belief, political association, social condition, disability, a conviction for which a pardon has been granted, nor by reason of union membership or activity. The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to find alternate employment within its employ for an employee who becomes unable to carry out his normal work functions as a result of a physical or mental disability arising as a result of his employment with the Employer.
