Common use of Layoff Options Clause in Contracts

Layoff Options. An employee who has been given layoff notice shall, within seven calendar days of receiving layoff notice, elect either: (a) bumping as provided for in Clause 14.7 (Bumping); (b) placement on the casual call-in and on the recall list with no loss of seniority as provided for in Clause 14.8 (Recall List), for a period of one year; or (c) severance pay as provided for in Clause 14.9 (Severance Pay).

Layoff Options. ‌ An employee who has been given layoff notice shall, within seven five (5) calendar days of receiving layoff notice, elect either: (a) : bumping as provided for in Clause 14.7 Article 15.8 (Bumping); (b) ; placement on the casual call-in and on the recall list with no loss of seniority as provided for in Clause 14.8 Article 14.9 (Recall List), for a period of one (1) year; or (c) or severance pay as provided for in Clause 14.9 Article 15.10 (Severance Pay).

Layoff Options. An ‌ If there is no vacancy available, and a regular employee who has been given layoff notice shallnotice, the employee may, within seven calendar days of receiving layoff notice, elect eitherone of the following: (a) bumping as provided for in Clause 14.7 (13.6 - Bumping); (b) placement on the casual call-in list and on the recall list with no loss of seniority as provided for in Clause 14.8 (13.7 - Recall List), List for a period of one year; or12 months; (c) severance pay as provided for in accordance with Clause 14.9 (Severance Pay)13.8 - Severance.
