Common use of Lead Hand Appointments Clause in Contracts

Lead Hand Appointments. When a Garage Xxxxxxx or Working Xxxxxxx/Multi-trades, is absent for sickness, holidays, etc. an Employee of the same department must be appointed as their relief as follows:- (a) For scheduled vacations, leaves of absence, etc., the appointment shall be from the first day of absence. (b) For sickness and unscheduled leaves of absence, the appointment shall be made and paid on the third day of absence. (c) The Employee shall receive an extra ten percent (10%) above the Employee's own salary during such period of relief.
