Common use of Leave for Elected Office Clause in Contracts

Leave for Elected Office. The Board shall grant a leave of absence without pay to an Employee to hold office in a Federal, Provincial or Municipal government. The Employee shall suffer no loss of seniority or any other rights and privileges under this Agreement. The Employee shall have the right to return to the position held prior to the leave for a period of two (2) years and to the same or equivalent position thereafter, subject to Articles 11 and 12.
