Before and after. ‘autofiction’ - theoretical frameworks and autobiographical fictions in postmodern context As we noted in the previous section Xxxxxxxxxx tried not to restrict the applicability of the term autofiction strictly to his own novels; on the contrary, he sought to establish the term as a reading frame for texts written even before 1977. His contribution in the field of literary criticism on autobiographical fiction could be understood as a follow-up to other critical frameworks, which will be examined in this section. I shall focus on certain theoretical discourses that could be inscribed in a postmodern context and whose authors approached more or less the path of Xxxxxxxxxx. My objective is to see whether other writers or critics engaged in an exploration similar to Xxxxxxxxxx’s autofiction before this was officially suggested as such. To this end, I will discuss cases of ‘autobiografiction’ as examined by Xxx 45 Xxxxx Xxxxxxxxxx, Interview by Xxxx Xxxxxx (University of Birmingham, 1999). Xxxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx’x ‘surfiction’, Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx’ Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx par Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx, as well as novels and articles by Xxxxx Xxxxx-Xxxxxxx. In 2010 Xxx Xxxxxxxx published a meticulous study on ‘autobiografiction’, a term that appears to enclose ‘autofiction’. 46 Xxxxxxxx introduced ‘autobiografiction’ as a type of fiction preoccupied with the genre of autobiography. Instead of offering a definition, Xxxxxxxx states that “autobiografiction reflects the literary relationship between fiction and a self’s autobiography, rather than that between fiction and a self”.47 He also revealed that the term ‘autobiografiction’ was not his own invention but dated back to 1906, when Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx wrote an essay under that title.48 In his essay, Xxxxxxxx xxxx the distinction between autobiographical fiction and ‘autobiografiction’, saying that the first term was to be used for the cases of “fiction with a good deal of the writer's own life in it” while the second should be used to “connote shortly a minor literary form which stands between those two extremes; which is of late growth and of a nature at once very indefinite and very definite.” 49 Xxxxxxxx went on to argue that ‘autobiografiction’ combined three threads: autobiography, fiction and essay. Up to a certain point, Xxxxxxx’x use of the term ‘autobiografiction’ seems to anticipate Xxxxxxxxxx’s case seventy years before the term...

In order to be entitled to payment for a Statutory Holiday, an employee must have worked the full working day immediately preceding the holiday and the day immediately following the holiday, an employee is ill, on authorized vacation or leave of absence. When any of the above-named Statutory Holidays falls on an employee’s scheduled day off, the employee shall receive another day off with pay at a time agreed upon between the employee and the employer. Should Christmas or New Years’ Day fall on a Sunday or Monday, off in lieu of the half day before Christmas and New Years Day will be provided. When one of the above-named Statutory Holidays falls during an employee’s approved vacation period, he be allowed an extra day’s vacation. on Saturday or Sunday When any of the above-named Statutory Holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday and are not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday and/or Tuesday shall be deemed to be holidays for the purpose of this Agreement other than for shift workers who shall observe and be paid for the holiday on the day that Article Statutory it falls.

If parents would like to pay with Childcare Vouchers please notify your voucher provider and the school office so this may be registered. We are happy to accommodate occasional sessions if booked by Friday of the previous week. Cancellations must also be made by Fridays for attendance at sessions the following week. Children must be collected according to the booking arrangements and late collections will be charged additional rates. Collection after 5pm will be charged at the 6pm collection rate of £7.50. Late collection after 6pm will be charged at £5 for every 15minutes or part thereof. We must enforce these charges to ensure staffing ratios are covered.
