Common use of LEAVE FOR FURTHER STUDY Clause in Contracts

LEAVE FOR FURTHER STUDY. A leave of absence of up to one (1) year may be granted to a tenure teacher, upon application, for the purpose of engaging in study at an accredited college or university reasonably related to his/her professional responsibilities. Upon return from such leave, a teacher shall be placed at the next appropriate step on the salary schedule.
