Common use of Leave for ONA President Clause in Contracts

Leave for ONA President. A written request for a Leave of Absence for an employee elected as President of the Ontario Nurses’ Association shall not be unreasonably denied. The leave shall be for a period of up to two (2) consecutive years. The written request will be submitted no less than thirty (30) calendar days in advance of the commencement of the leave. There shall be no loss of service or seniority. The employee will advise the Employer at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to her date of return to work. The health and welfare benefits are continued at the discretion of the carriers provided they are allowable.
