Leave for Other Purposes. a. Association Leave 1. Time will be given for members to conduct Association business with representatives of the District’s management staff or events of mutual concern. The District shall grant 100 hours per year of paid time to conduct Association business. Additional hours may be provided. In such cases the Association shall reimburse the District at the employee’s hourly rate. Association will also reimburse the District for the District’s portion of employee’s retirement costs, pursuant to MCL 38.1371. Association Leave Days are approved by Human Resources. Human Resources will not approve an Association Leave without the authorization of the Association President or designee.
