Common use of Leave for Retraining and Study Clause in Contracts

Leave for Retraining and Study. 13.9.1 Employees may be granted a leave of absence not to exceed one year for the purpose of undertaking study or for retraining the employee to meet changing technological conditions. 13.9.2 An employee applying for a leave of absence for study purposes must have rendered at least seven consecutive years of service to the District. 13.9.3 An employee granted a leave of absence under these provisions shall receive compensation in accordance with the provisions of E.C. Section 45383 during or at the end of the leave as the Superintendent shall recommend and the Board of Trustees approves.
