Common use of Leave for Storms or Hazardous Conditions Clause in Contracts

Leave for Storms or Hazardous Conditions. It is the responsibility of the Employee to make every reasonable effort to arrive at work as scheduled, however, during storm conditions, when such arrival is impossible, or delayed, all absent time will be deemed to be leave, and the Employee has the option to: (a) Take the absent time as unpaid; or (b) Deduct the absent time from accumulated holiday time or vacation; or (c) When the Employee has no entitlement to accumulate paid leave, the Employee may, with approval of the Employer, make up the absent time as the scheduling allows.
