Common use of Leave for Storms or Hazardous Conditions Clause in Contracts

Leave for Storms or Hazardous Conditions. Time lost by an employee as a result of absence or lateness due to storm conditions or because of the conditions of public highways or because an employee finds it necessary to seek permission to leave prior to the end of their regular shift may be: (a) made up by the employee at a time agreed upon between the employee and the Employer; or (b) on request by the employee, paid from the employee’s holiday, overtime, vacation or, where appropriate, banked sick pay credits (as per MOA #1 – Pay in Lieu of Paid Sick Leave), or (c) deemed to be leave without pay.
