Common use of Leave of Absence to Attend Court Clause in Contracts

Leave of Absence to Attend Court. A leave of absence shall be granted an employee for attendance at court, other than jury duty, for issues growing directly out of the employee's functions, knowledge or responsibilities as a school district employee. Such leave shall be with pay up to the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and any amount received for witness fees, provided that the absence is approved in writing by the Superintendent or designee within ten (10) days of the absence.
