Leave Policy. A. The Board, upon written request, shall grant a leave of absence without pay for a period not to exceed one (1) year, subject to renewal at the will of the Board. A leave of absence for physical or mental disability, without request, may be granted for a period not to exceed one (1) year. The Board may deny a request for a leave of absence based upon good and just cause of the District’s need at the time of the request.
