Leave to Attend Birth or Adoption of a Child. A Permanent Employee or Term Employee, upon request, may be granted a leave of absence with pay for one (1) day for the purpose of attending the birth of the employee’s child, or for attending to the release from hospital of the spouse who has given birth, or on the day on which they first obtain custody of an adopted child.
