Leave Upon the Birth or Adoption of a Child. 24.3.1 An academic staff member holding a tenure-track, tenured, or term appointment shall be granted maternity, adoption, or parental leave for a combined period of up to seventy-eight (78) weeks by the Xxxx after having been employed by the University for more than thirteen (13) consecutive weeks. 24.3.2 Academic staff members who qualify for leave under Article 24.3.1, shall receive leave and Supplementary Employment Benefits (SEB) as follows: 24.3.2.1 The academic staff member shall be entitled to receive one hundred (100) per cent of salary to offset the one-week waiting period for eligibility of receipt of employment insurance benefits.
