Leaves for TATs. In case of absence exceeding ten consecutive school days due to personal illness, a TAT may apply for and secure a leave of absence without pay, except as provided in the sick pay rule. Such leave shall not exceed five school months unless extended, provided, however, all leaves granted such teachers shall expire at the end of June with the close of the school term.

  • Particular Methods of Procurement of Consultants’ Services 1. Quality- and Cost-based Selection. Except as otherwise provided in paragraph 2 below, consultants’ services shall be procured under contracts awarded on the basis of Quality and Cost-based Selection.

The penalty tax may also be avoided if the distribution is rolled over to another individual retirement account. See Item 9 above for special rules applicable to distributions from a SIMPLE IRA.

  • Other Methods of Procurement of Consultants’ Services The following table specifies methods of procurement, other than Quality and Cost-based Selection, which may be used for consultants’ services.   • Unpaid Holidays for a Reason of Faith or Conscience Leave without pay will be granted for a reason of faith or conscience for up to two (2) workdays per calendar year as provided below.

  • Discipline for Just Cause Disciplinary action shall be taken only for just cause, however probationary employees may be discharged without just cause and shall have no right to grieve discharge (see Article 7, Probationary Period). Supervisors may not take disciplinary action against an employee who, in good faith, reports a violation of any federal or state law or regulation to a governmental body or law enforcement official.   • Grounds for Termination This Agreement may be terminated at any time prior to the Closing:

  • Discipline for Cause No member shall be reduced in pay or position, suspended, removed, or reprimanded except for just cause. In the event of a grievance, employees shall appeal disciplinary actions which result in time-off without pay, or removal to Step Three of the grievance procedure within seven (7) calendar days after written notice of such action is served upon the affected member. Probationary removals or reductions are not appealable to the grievance procedure. Employees given written reprimands of record may, upon request, meet with the Chief Deputy and/or the Sheriff (or designee) to discuss the discipline. This meeting can be conducted with or without Union representation. The results of such meetings shall not be subject to appeal through the grievance procedure. If a member disagrees with the verbal or written reprimand, the member may write a memorandum to the Sheriff explaining the reason(s) for the disagreement. The memorandum will be attached to the reprimand.

  • Holiday Scheduling Work assignments for holidays shall be prepared in advance of the holiday and when work is available, employees shall be given an opportunity to request to either work or be off. Such requests shall be granted to the extent possible in keeping with the operating needs of the work unit. When all requests cannot be granted within a classification and within a work unit, they shall be granted on a rotating basis so that each employee’s desires will be met as many times as is possible for each year, subject to Paragraph
