Common use of Legal Proceedings Leave Clause in Contracts

Legal Proceedings Leave. 10.11.1 Employees called for jury duty, or subpoenaed to appear in court, in any case other than one in which the employee is a litigant, shall be granted a leave of absence with pay. During this period, the employee shall be paid the amount of the difference between his/her earnings and the amount received as a jury fee. A statement of the amount paid the employee as a jury fee shall be submitted as a basis for determining the District's financial responsibility.
