Letter of Direction – Non-Disciplinary. The purpose of a letter of direction is to advise an employee of school district standards and expectations of performance and is not discipline of the employee. The letter shall clearly state that it is a “letter of direction”. No letter of direction shall be placed in a bargaining unit member’s personnel file before the administrator issuing the letter has consulted with the Superintendent and the employee has seen and signed the letter as acknowledgement of receipt only.
