Level of Provision. The pharmacy will agree to provide the prescribed dose of methadone / buprenorphine (as Subutex®) for daily consumption on pharmacy premises for a minimum of 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday ~ excluding Bank Holidays). Prescribed doses for Sunday (and Bank Holidays) will be dispensed on Saturday in a standard container to take away, as required by the Medicines Act. The participating pharmacies must agree to accept a minimum of (up to) 10 clients for supervision.

The postal packs will be offered / available to asymptomatic males and females from the target age range from any area, as follows: - on request from clients - on production of a voucher (requesting Chlamydia screening) - subsequent to a request from clients to access the Community Pharmacy Emergency Oral Hormonal Contraception (EOHC) Enhanced Service (whether provided or not) - The target age is between 15 and 24 years but clients from the age of 13 and above will be able to access the service. For clients below the age of 16 years ‘Fraser competence’ needs to be considered, (see Appendix C), for this reason clients under the age of 16 will be referred to the pharmacist for the supply of the screening pack. The assessment of Fraser Competence needs to recorded on the monitoring form (Appendix B) if a pack is issued.
Level of Provision. 4.1 The pharmacy will agree to supply EOHC via a PGD free of charge to clients aged 14 years of age and over (and who meet the inclusion criteria of the PGD). Pharmacies and pharmacists must meet the specified accreditation requirements in order to be eligible to participate in this Enhanced Service.

If there is a significant change in the number of transactions a pharmacy carries out Pavilions will review activity via NEO and will consult with pharmacies. This is to understand the reasons why and consider the continuing need of the service.
Level of Provision. Community Pharmacy contractors will provide the service in line with the required protocol standards (Appendix B) Pharmacies participating in the service will provide potential clients with convenient, drop-in access to the pregnancy testing and support service (PTSS) during the pharmacy opening hours on request from clients or subsequent to a request from clients for other sexual health services from which it becomes apparent that a pregnancy test may be required. The target age is between 14 and 18 years of age. Clients of 13 years will be signposted to other provider services where appropriate. For clients below the age of 16 years ‘Fraser Competence’ needs to be undertaken and the outcome recorded. If competence is not demonstrated, the service cannot be provided and the client signposted to an alternative provider. The service will be provided by accredited staff members who have successfully completed the training required by the Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Service (TPPS) and remain under supervision of the pharmacist in charge . On the occasions that an accredited staff member is not available in the pharmacy, or a pharmacist is not personally able to provide the service, the client should be signposted to an alternative provider of the service and details recorded on the signposting report (Appendix C). The pharmacy should telephone the alternative provider to ensure that the client is able to access the service if referred on. Promotional material issued by the Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Service (TPPS) should be clearly displayed to raise awareness of the pregnancy testing and support service (PTSS)
