Common use of LINEMAN Clause in Contracts

LINEMAN. An employee who has satisfactorily completed his apprenticeship and who performs all classes of overhead and underground transmission and distribution work. Must possess a valid State Class A Driver's License before assignment to the job. An employee who has attained, by training and education, Journeyman Service Technician status. Must be thoroughly trained in all aspects of gasoline and diesel engines. Must be fully trained in performing repairs on all vehicles, ranging from passenger cars through heavy duty line equipment. Must be knowledgeable in compiling and maintaining all required fleet maintenance records and must possess a valid State Class A Driver's license within six months of hire date.
