Live Sewer Work Allowance. 30.7.1 Extra half time to be paid Employees engaged on live sewer work or cleaning septic tanks shall, during ordinary hours, be paid at the rate of time and a-half for all time so engaged. During overtime or on week-ends or public holidays, employees shall be paid one-half of the ordinary hourly rate in addition to the relevant overtime, week-end or public holiday rate for all time engaged on live sewer work.

Live Sewer Work Allowance. The termlive sewer work’ shall mean work carried out in situations where there is direct aerial connection with a sewer through which sewerage is flowing. The term shall also include work in connection with septic tanks and cleaning of mechanical plant if such plant is contaminated with sewerage. Employees engaged in live sewer work or cleaning septic tanks shall, during ordinary hours, be paid at the rate of time and a-half for all time so engaged. During overtime or on weekends or public holidays employees shall be paid the relevant overtime, weekend or public holiday penalty rate based on the ordinary hours rate, above, for all time engaged on live sewer work. Where aerial connection with a sewer or septic tank is blocked by a disc, plug, valve, water seal or other means, the live sewer rate shall not apply. Employees who are on any day required to carry out work in connection with the release of blockages in sewerage lines, septic tanks and connections thereto shall be paid not less than four hours at the appropriate rates. All time involved in travelling to and from such operations shall be deemed to be time worked for this purpose.

  • Training Allowance Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.

  • Cleaning Allowance The University will pay for the cleaning of Department issued uniforms and necessary work clothing requiring cleaning worn by employees assigned to non-uniformed positions.

  • Shoe Allowance The Employer will provide reimbursement to full time employees who have completed probation and who are employed in the kitchen and stewarding departments, once per year in the amount of $60.00 and once every two years in the amount of $60.00 for maintenance and banquet housepersons. The amount shall increase to $75, effective January 1, 2007. Employees will receive said amount as long as the shoes are approved by the employer and as long as the shoes are worn on the job. Payment will be made on or about July 1 upon presentation of proof of purchase.

  • Per Diem Allowance A per diem allowance of seven dollars and thirty-five cents ($7.35) may be claimed for each twenty-four (24) hour period while away from home.

  • Shift Allowance In addition to the wage specified in sub-clause (1), read with sub- clause (12), a normal shift worker shall, in respect of his shift hours worked in any week, be paid an additional 12,5% on such wage.

  • Site Allowance All new construction and extension/refurbishment work having a project value in excess of $2.0m will attract the then current City of Melbourne Site Allowance.

  • Overtime Work A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the basic hourly straight-time rate.

  • Boot Allowance The District will pay $180 toward the purchase and/or repair of work boots for District Employees listed in the District’s Work Apparel Policy and/or at the discretion of the employee’s department manager.   • Isolation Allowance 3.23.1 An employee whose work requires that they reside at an isolated locality as outlined in clause 3.23.5 or 3.23.6 below, will receive an isolation allowance.

  • Service Core Allowance The company shall pay $0.95 per hour for all work carried out in construction of service core. This allowance will be adjusted annually (effective from 1 June) in accordance with CPI movements (All Groups, Melbourne) for the preceding 12 months to March (increases to be rounded to the nearest 5 cents).
