Maintenance and Accumulation of Seniority. Seniority shall be maintained and accumulate during: a) absence due to lay-off; b) absence due to illness or injury, whether or not caused by an accident, for a period not to exceed thirty-six (36) consecutive months; c) pregnancy leave of absence as allowed and defined in the Employment Standards Act; d) absence due to an authorized leave of absence for a period not to exceed the duration approved.
