WORK CLOTHING Two sets of cotton drill protective clothing will be issued to all employees, upon request, within two weeks of commencing work with the Company. Employees will be made aware of these entitlements at the time of employment. A set of clothing will consist of either: • Two pairs of overalls; or • Two combination bib and brace; or • Two pairs of long trousers and two long sleeved shirt; or • Work denims at cost no greater than the above three choices • Clothing and footwear will be replaced on a fair wear and tear basis.
Service Core Allowance The company shall pay $0.95 per hour for all work carried out in construction of service core. This allowance will be adjusted annually (effective from 1 June) in accordance with CPI movements (All Groups, Melbourne) for the preceding 12 months to March (increases to be rounded to the nearest 5 cents).
EMPLOYEE WORK YEAR 9.1 The work year shall be as follows:
Standard Tenant Services Landlord shall provide the following services on all days (unless otherwise stated below) during the Lease Term. 6.1.1 Subject to limitations imposed by all governmental rules, regulations and guidelines applicable thereto, Landlord shall provide heating and air conditioning ("HVAC") when necessary for normal comfort for normal office use in the Premises from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. (collectively, the "Building Hours"), except for the date of observation of New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and, at Landlord's discretion, other locally or nationally recognized holidays (collectively, the "Holidays"); provided, however, Landlord acknowledges that, pursuant to Tenant's requirements, in no event shall Holidays include Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day, Columbus Day or Veterans Day. The daily time periods identified hereinabove are sometimes referred to as the "Business Hours." 6.1.2 Landlord shall provide adequate electrical wiring and facilities and power for normal general office use as more specifically set forth on Schedule 3 to Exhibit B, attached hereto. Tenant shall pay directly to the utility company pursuant to the utility company's separate meters, the cost of all electricity provided to and/or consumed in the Premises (including normal and excess consumption and including the cost of electricity to operate the HVAC air handlers), which electricity shall be separately metered (as described above). Landlord may designate the electricity utility provider from time to time. 6.1.3 As part of Operating Expenses, Landlord shall replace lamps, starters and ballasts for Building standard lighting fixtures within the Premises. In addition, Tenant shall bear the cost of replacement of lamps, starters and ballasts for non-Building standard lighting fixtures within the Premises. 6.1.4 Landlord shall provide city water from the regular Building outlets for drinking, lavatory and toilet purposes, and for the Building's life safety systems. 6.1.5 Landlord shall provide janitorial services to the Premises five (5) days per week, except the date of observation of the Holidays, in and about the Premises and window washing services in a manner consistent with Comparable Buildings in the vicinity of the Project. 6.1.6 Landlord shall provide nonexclusive, non-attended automatic passenger elevator service during the Building Hours, shall have one elevator available at all other times, except on the Holidays. Tenant shall cooperate fully with Landlord at all times and abide by all regulations and requirements that Landlord may reasonably prescribe for the proper functioning and protection of the HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.
Alterations to Premises Tenant shall make no structural or interior alterations to the Premises. If Tenant requests such alterations and such alterations are structural in nature, then Tenant shall provide Landlord with a complete set of construction drawings. If Landlord consents to the alterations, then the Landlord shall determine the actual cost of the work to be done. Tenant may then either agree to pay Landlord to have the work done or withdraw its request for alterations; provided, however, that at Tenant’s request, Landlord shall not unreasonably withhold its consent to allowing Tenant and/or Tenant’s contractors to perform such work. All such alterations are subject to the prior written approval of Landlord, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld, conditioned or delayed. Subject to the terms of this paragraph, and notwithstanding any provision of this Lease to the contrary, Landlord agrees to allow Tenant to construct (i) a data center within the Premises and to install equipment (which may include generator, condensers, UPS, etc.) in the Building and around the land surrounding the Building necessary to facilitate the operation of Tenant’s data center, and (ii) an opening in the curtain wall of Floor 1 of Building C, to install two (2) four foot doors within such opening, to improve the outside area for delivery access and to install other improvements (which may include a large dumpster) to the Building and the land surrounding the Building necessary to facilitate the operation of Tenant’s Fulfillment Center. All such alterations shall be performed by Tenant’s contractors (which shall be subject to Landlord’s approval, not to be unreasonably withheld), at Tenant’s sole cost and expense. Notwithstanding the above paragraph, Tenant shall have the right to make nonstructural and nonsystems related alterations (“Tenant Alterations”) up to a value of $15,000.00 per occurrence (not to exceed $60,000 during any 12-month period) without Landlord’s prior written consent (which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld), provided Tenant shall provide notice to Landlord of its intent to make the Tenant Alterations. Such notice shall include a copy of plans and specifications (if such alterations are of a character that would reasonably require plans and specifications) and copies of all permits, if required by the appropriate municipality, and any contracts for such Tenant Alterations. All Tenant Alterations shall be performed by contractors approved by Landlord which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld, and in accordance with all applicable laws and the rules and regulations described in Section 12b.
Remote Work Remote work is the practice of performing required job functions from home or another management-approved location. Any employee who believes that all or part of their position is suitable for remote work may request to work remotely by submitting a written request to their supervisor. The Employer will evaluate the employee's request, and will approve or deny the request in writing. Employees whose requests to work remotely are approved may be required to sign an agreement confirming expectations regarding their schedule, timekeeping, remote work environment, data/information security and other matters specific to their position.
Overtime Work A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the basic hourly straight-time rate. B. Overtime shall be paid to employees for work performed only after eight (8) hours on duty in any one (1) service day or forty (40) hours in any one (1) service week. Nothing in this Section shall be construed by the parties or any reviewing authority to deny the payment of overtime to employees for time worked outside of their regularly scheduled work week at the request of the Employer. C. Penalty overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of two
Work of the Bargaining Unit (a) In order to protect the standard of nursing care, the Employer shall not contract out the work normally performed by members of this bargaining unit except: i) For purposes of instruction, ii) In the event of an emergency situation, iii) When performing developmental or experimental work, or iv) When employees are not available due to an employee not reporting for work as scheduled or not being available for work. (b) Reassignment to other employees of work normally performed by members of the bargaining unit shall not result in the termination, layoff or reduction in hours of any member of the bargaining unit. (c) When it is decided to not fill a position following an employee’s resignation, the Home will provide the rationale in writing for this decision to the Union. The Union may request a meeting to make representations on this matter.
Night Work Employees who work at night as part of their normal working week are entitled to receive an enhancement of time and one third for all hours worked between 8.00 pm and 6.00 am.
