MAPPINGS FOR THE MAIN CONTENT PROVIDERS Sample Clauses

MAPPINGS FOR THE MAIN CONTENT PROVIDERS. ‌ The harmonization exercise, leading to the CIDOC CRM and EpiDoc descriptions, and the EAGLE Conceptual Data Model, were developed taking as a starting point the results of the metadata survey mentioned earlier and the new requirements for enrichment and extension of the existing models. It has been therefore easy to do a preliminary exercise in mapping the elements of the two formal representations into the metadata elements of each EAGLE Content Provider. As an example, here below we provide a few rows of the mapping table for Hispania Epigraphica. In Annex IV there is the complete set of mapping tables for the following providers: Epigraphic Database Roma (UNIROMA1), Epigraphic Database Bari (UNIBA), Epigraphische Datenbank Heidelberg (UHEI), Hispania Epigraphica Online (UAH), Ubi Erat Lupa (PLUS), Arachne (DAI), Petrae (AUSONIUS), STARC (CYI). Since the actual ingestion of the material supplied by Content Providers into EAGLE will be implemented by the EAGLE aggregation infrastructure, these tables will be the basis for the final mapping from the providersdata sets to the EAGLE Aggregator Metadata Schema (the one used internally by the aggregator in the EAGLE server).
